The RAP Presentation for Year 11 students will be Thursday 24th May (Week 4 Thursday) in Lesson 3 and 4 (11:20am – 12:50pm).
The RAP Presentation is run by the Metropolitan Fire Service. Fire-fighters will visit the school to speak with students about:
- good attitudes, smart decision making and safe behaviours
- the dangers of excessive speed, driving under the influence and distractions
- being a safe passenger
- being a safe road user
- trauma suffered by all parties involved in both fatal and non-fatal road crashes.
The program is designed to give students a hard-hitting, realistic insight into road crash trauma and as such the classroom presentation includes video footage and photographs of real crashes and victims and re-creations.
