The Unity College Trade Skills Centre is excited to be offering the following new courses in 2019:
AHC32816 Certificate III Rural Operations
Unity College is excited to announce that the Trade Skills Centre will be offering AHC32816 Certificate III in Rural Operations in 2019. This course will be offered in partnership with RST (Regional Skills Training Pty Ltd) and is open to interested students in the Murraylands.
The certificate is designed for students who wish to work within the agriculture industry on farms, with crops and livestock and performing general maintenance tasks. Completion of Certificate III Rural Operations will open the door to a range of career pathways and give students the opportunity to achieve SACE Stage 2 credits.
The course will run as practical workshops and theory training sessions consisting of Welding, Work Health and Safety, Environmental Sustainability, Crop Agronomy, Livestock Feeding Plans and Chainsaw Ticket. Workshops will run from monthly from February 2019 to October 2019 at Unity College and local locations.
Certificate II Engineering Pathways
TAFE SA will deliver Certificate II Engineering Pathways at Unity College Trade Skills Centre in 2019. This certificate is new to Unity College in 2019 and will replace Certificate II Engineering. The Certificate II Engineering Pathways course is intended for students interested in an exposure to an engineering or related working environment.
This certificate provides the opportunity for students to gain industry-like skills in using workshop machinery, Arc and Mig welding, hand and power tools, measuring and manufacturing/assembling engineering components The course finishes with students undertaking a group Engineering project, the 2019 project will be a Go-Kart.
