“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
The Year 6 cohort is now almost 3 terms into their school life on the Middle/Senior campus at Unity College. Some of those early step-up nerves and anxieties are slowly disappearing – with some overcome or replaced with others as they adjust to what it is to be a Middle School student. Some students have flourished as risk takers and have experienced so many different new activities that we have to offer while others are taking longer but are slowly starting to feel more at home and missing life on the Junior School a little less.
The Year 6 teaching team have and will continue to encourage our students to be courageous, risk takers and take up the opportunities on offer to them. Whether it be getting involved in Pedal Prix, the Agriculture Show Teams or the Musical. Each year brings about new opportunities. They can do this with the knowledge that there will not only be friends and staff there to support them, but also the Lord, who is with us in everything we do.
The past week the students have reflected on a few questions about the transition to Middle School and here are some of their answers:
