Can you believe it? We’ve officially hit the halfway mark of Term 2 – time seems to be flying by! Before we delve into what lies ahead, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sharon Gierus for her incredible organisation that made Sorry Day such a meaningful event for us all.
The day commenced with a beautiful flag-raising ceremony led by our Ngarrindjeri students, alongside our student leadership team. Following this, Shirley and Rick Hartman delivered an inspiring message to our students about Reconciliation and Sorry Day, setting the tone for what promises to be an impactful Reconciliation Week ahead.
As we move forward, we have a variety of interactive activities planned for our students this week, ensuring their engagement and growth continue to thrive.
A gentle reminder that this term comprises nine weeks, with the final week designated as Professional Development week for our dedicated staff. The PD week program has been meticulously crafted to facilitate learning and collaboration, with workshops catering to educational professionals from R-12.
Exciting news awaits as our Early Learning Centre nears completion, having recently obtained the Certificate of Occupancy on May 27. Stay tuned for updates on the formal opening date – an exciting milestone for Unity College and our beloved Murraylands community.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming school tour this Friday, May 31. We eagerly anticipate welcoming families to explore our ELC, Junior, Middle, and Senior School offerings. At Unity, we pride ourselves on offering programs tailored to the diverse needs of every student, fostering a sense of belonging crucial for a successful educational journey.
I extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to Unity College. Together, we are committed to serving you, our community, in our shared vocation.
Spiritual Food:
When you are struggling to feel inspired and motivated, it can be helpful to lean on your connection with God and remember the Lord is by your side to provide inspiration and light when both of these feel unattainable.
Blessings
