Students at Unity College are provided with the opportunity to participate in cultural exchanges to Germany and Japan.
Other exchange opportunities are available to students through community organisations such as Rotary which are advertised to students as they become available. Unity has had students spend time in countries including New Zealand and Brazil through these exchanges in both term time while a student at the College and after the completion of Year 12.
Exchanges allow students to experience the culture they have been studying, furthering their personal development, enjoying independence, gaining life experience and making new friends while putting to practical use the language skills they have obtained through study of a language.
CULTURAL TOUR OF JAPAN
Unity College has a strong affiliation with our Japanese sister school, Chuo University Suginami Senior College, commonly known as 'Chusugi'.
Unity host visiting students from Chusugi during their bi-annual visit in July/August.
A return exchange opportunity for Unity College students is available every second year, with a three week cultural tour of Japan. This trip includes visiting many of the famous sights of Japan and experiencing the Japanese culture and way of life through a home stay and attending school.
For more information, please contact the Japanese/German teaching staff at Unity College.
