The first week of a new year comes with extra traffic on campus, with the Junior School being particularly congested during drop off and pick up times. Many parents choose to park and assist their children into their classrooms, and we are aware that it is a challenge to find a parking space this week. If you are unable to find a space in our carparks, there is street parking on Ibis Road, Owl Drive, Kingfisher Court or Lorikeet Avenue.
To ease the congestion in the carpark, we encourage parents to explore the ‘Kiss & Drop’ option, which assists greatly with traffic movement during this busy period. It is expected that children will be independent with getting in/out of the vehicle, without parents getting out to assist. If your child/ren still require assistance, then please park rather than use the drop off line.
Please refer to the attached traffic flow map for JS. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding this week as new students and families settle into life at Unity and assure you that we are looking to find further solutions to ease congestion. Staff on yard duty (under the canopy) are extra vigilant during this busy time and will remain on duty until 3.35pm. We also thank our MSS families for their patience this week with increased traffic during these times.
